Ein Waldbrand ist im Südwesten Spaniens, nahe der Ortschaft Niebla, ausgebrochen und hat 4.000 Hektar Terrain zerstört. Der Brand wird durch heftige Winde mit Geschwindigkeiten zwischen 40 und 50 Kilometern pro Stunde angefacht, was die Situation vor Ort verschärft.
Die Behörden haben über 500 Personen mobilisiert, um den Brand zu bekämpfen. Unter ihnen wurden 250 Mitglieder der Militärischen Notfalleinheit eingesetzt, um bei den Löschmaßnahmen zu helfen.
Berichten zufolge führte der Brand zur vorsorglichen Evakuierung von etwa 470 Menschen, die in der Nähe des betroffenen Gebiets wohnen. Diese Maßnahmen wurden ergriffen, um die Sicherheit der Anwohner angesichts der unmittelbaren Gefahr durch das Feuer zu gewährleisten.

Der Brand befindet sich in der andalusischen Provinz Huelva, etwa 70 Kilometer von der Südküste mit Portugal entfernt. Die Wetterbedingungen, insbesondere die Windstärke, stellen weiterhin eine erhebliche Herausforderung für die Rettungsteams dar.
