Berlin public prosecutor's office files 350 charges against crypto phone users
The Berlin public prosecutor's office has filed a total of around 350 charges against users of Encrochat and Sky-ECC.

According to the Berlin public prosecutor's office, the charges are the result of successful investigations in which the code of the supposedly secure crypto phones was cracked. These devices were popular among criminals and were considered particularly protected from police surveillance.
The evaluation of the encrypted chats continues to pose challenges for authorities. The breach of the systems and the related methods are controversial among experts and raise questions about data security.
