Former Governor Aguirre faces preventive detention over Ayotzinapa case

Ángel Aguirre, former governor of Guerrero, appeared before a judge in a wheelchair, where he was ordered into preventive detention related to the Ayotzinapa case, which investigates the disappearance of 43 students in 2014. According to Infobae, his defense has requested an extension of the constitutional term for his legal process.

The hearing will resume on August 11, allowing Aguirre and his legal team to prepare their defense against the accusations linking him to the concealment of evidence in this case.
