Man arrested after stabbings in Rotterdam with two injured
A 26-year-old man from Rotterdam has been arrested for two stabbings and an attempted third, leaving two men injured.
Police detained a 26-year-old man from Rotterdam on Saturday morning on suspicion of involvement in two stabbings and an attempt at a third. The attacks occurred between 9:30 and 10:00 AM and are believed to have been carried out by the same individual.
The first report came from Schaepmanstraat in Rotterdam-Delfshaven, where the initial stabbing took place. The second attack occurred at Marconiplein, not far from the first location. Additionally, the suspect allegedly attempted to stab someone on a bridge in Overschie.
Two men were injured in the stabbings. One of them has been taken to the hospital for treatment. The severity of the injuries is currently unknown.
The police are currently conducting further investigations into the arrested man. It remains unclear what the motive behind these attacks was. Authorities have not released additional information about the condition of the injured.
