Mark van Bommel presented as Belgium’s national coach
Mark van Bommel has been appointed as the new head coach of Belgium, confirming he has had no contact with the KNVB.

Mark van Bommel has been officially presented as the new head coach of the Belgian national football team. The presentation took place at the training center of the Royal Belgian Football Association (KBVB) near Brussels.
During the presentation, the 49-year-old coach stated that there has been no contact with the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB). When asked if he had been approached for the position as coach of the Netherlands, he replied that he had not been contacted about that.

Van Bommel also expressed his happiness that the Belgian association reached out to him to coach the 'Red Devils'. This highlights his satisfaction with the new role he is taking on.
The decision to appoint Van Bommel as Belgium’s head coach comes amid a search for a suitable candidate to lead the team to new successes after previous disappointments on the international stage.
