Near-miss incident involving Boeing in Munich: investigation underway
After a near-miss involving a Boeing 787-9 in Munich, experts are investigating the cause of the warning signals.

An incident at Munich Airport involved a Boeing 787-9 from Vietnam Airlines, which encountered warning signals shortly after takeoff. According to the Vietnamese Civil Aviation Authority (CAAV), the alerts could indicate a potential so-called tailstrike, which means the tail may have touched the runway. An unusual tire pressure was also noted.
Witnesses reported a loud bang, followed by uncertainty among the passengers. Despite the difficulties, the aircraft reportedly took off shortly after the end of the runway, leading to significant risk. Following the incident, the plane landed back in Munich two hours later, but with damage.
Experts are now working to determine the exact cause of the incident. While further information is still lacking, the situation surrounding the event remains uncertain.
