Four-year-old Noéz’lou from Kortemark underwent a crucial liver transplant at the end of last year. In February, she was allowed to return home after the procedure and appeared to be improving in health.

However, in mid-July, Noéz’lou developed a bruise behind her eye, prompting further examinations.

Following these examinations, it was determined that she is suffering from Kaposi's sarcoma, a form of lymphoma.

Initially, the family was optimistic about her recovery, but the new diagnosis has hit them hard. Aunt Gwenny shared that Noéz’lou is bravely fighting at the University Hospital of Ghent, where she is receiving treatment.

Family members remain hopeful and emphasize the importance of the girl's smile. "As long as she smiles, we will hold on to great hope," a family member stated.

In the coming period, Noéz’lou will undergo an intensive treatment plan that is causing the family significant concern. The battle against her illness continues.
