Security Guard Allegedly Rapes Student on Terrace in Gujarat

A 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a security guard identified as Dharm Singh on a terrace in a residential society in Gujarat. The incident occurred late Saturday night, shortly after Singh had been hired for the position six days prior. According to police reports, Singh approached the victim with sexual intentions and assaulted her after she refused his advances.

It has been reported that during the assault, Singh choked the victim and used a wire to restrain her, locking her on the terrace before fleeing the scene. The woman was eventually rescued by residents who responded to her cries for help after Singh escaped with her mobile phone.

Police arrested Singh early Sunday morning, and investigations have begun into both the incident and the background of the accused. Reports indicate that he is originally from Hardoi district in Uttar Pradesh.

Authorities are examining the circumstances leading to this incident, which has raised concerns about the security measures in place within residential areas.
