Singer and Idols judge Jerney Kaagman (79) dies

Jerney Kaagman, the renowned singer of the rock band Earth & Fire, passed away last week at the age of 79. Kaagman gained fame in the 70s and 80s with several major hits from the band.

In addition to her musical career, Kaagman became known as a judge on the talent show Idols, where she participated from 2002 to 2008. She had been suffering from Parkinson's disease for many years and led a reclusive life.

At Kaagman's request, the funeral took place in private, according to reports from NOS and NRC.
