Lisbon Airport reported the detection of 206 irregular journeys. Of this total, 113 were related to the use of forged documents, as reported by the Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP).
The agreement established between the PSP and the National Police of Ireland, known as An Garda Síochána, is seen as a positive element in identifying these irregularities.
This partnership between the authorities has emphasized the importance of combating forged document trafficking and irregular immigration, reinforcing security at airports.
Investigations remain a priority for security forces, aiming to prevent similar situations in the future.
