Terms of use
Note: legal review of this version is underway. Until it is complete, these particulars are provisional.
These terms apply to the use of the Tagblick service in all language editions as well as to our Telegram service and our Telegram channels. The provider is {name}, {address}; further details are in the legal notice.
Free use, no registration
Reading this service is free of charge and requires neither registration nor a user account. Merely by accessing our pages no contract comes into existence between you and us.
There is no entitlement to continuous availability of the service. We may change, expand or discontinue content, functions, sections and individual language editions at any time.
How our content is produced — and what that means
Our short reports are written with AI support on the basis of the reporting of several independently operating newsrooms. Every such report is marked as AI-supported, and the sources evaluated are named and linked underneath. How this works in detail is described on the page “How we work”.
We check news before distribution with the care required in the circumstances as to content, origin and truth (§ 19 Abs. 1 Satz 3 of the Interstate Media Treaty). We nevertheless cannot warrant that every report is in every respect correct, complete and up to date.
Our content is general information. It does not replace legal, medical, tax, financial or other professional advice and is not a basis for an investment decision.
If you consider a statement to be incorrect, please write to us at [email protected]. We follow up every indication and correct what needs to be corrected.
Rights in the content
The texts written by us, the design of these pages, the underlying database and the sign “Tagblick” are protected. Beyond what is permitted by law — in particular the right of quotation under § 51 of the Copyright Act and reproduction for private use — any use requires our prior consent. Ask us; we are reachable and as a rule agreeable if the source and a link are stated.
Setting a link to our pages is expressly permitted and welcome.
Images come from freely licensed collections. For them the licence of the respective right holder stated with the image applies, not this section.
Headlines and short teasers of other newsrooms we reproduce only to the extent that § 87g Abs. 2 Nr. 4 of the Copyright Act permits for individual words and very short extracts. The rights in them remain with the respective press publisher.
Links to third-party offers
Our reports refer to the pages of the newsrooms whose reporting we have evaluated. We have no influence on their content and do not adopt it as our own. For third-party content the respective provider alone is responsible (§ 7 Abs. 1 of the Digital Services Act).
At the time of linking no legal infringements were apparent to us. If we become aware of any, we remove the link without delay; §§ 8 to 10 of the Digital Services Act remain unaffected. A notice to [email protected] is sufficient.
Advertising and partner content
This service is financed by advertising. Advertising spaces and paid contributions are marked as “Anzeige” and separated from the editorial part (§ 22 Abs. 1 of the Interstate Media Treaty). Links from paid contributions carry the marking rel="sponsored".
For the content of advertised offers and for transactions you conclude with advertising partners, those partners alone are responsible.
Our Telegram service
On request we send you reports via Telegram. The service is free of charge and voluntary. You end it at any time with the command /stop; we then delete the data stored for your chat completely. With /pause we temporarily suspend delivery. Which data we store in the process is set out in the privacy policy.
Telegram itself is a service of Telegram Messenger Inc. and is not part of our offer. We are not responsible for its availability, terms or data processing; the terms of Telegram apply to that.
There is no entitlement to the delivery of individual reports, to a particular frequency or to continuous availability of the service. We may discontinue the service; we announce that beforehand in the respective channel and to the subscribers.
Automated mass queries, attacks on availability and other abusive use entitle us to exclude individual chats from the service.
Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, for claims under the Product Liability Act and to the extent of a guarantee assumed by us.
In the case of simple negligence we are liable only if we breach a duty the fulfilment of which is a prerequisite for the proper performance of our service at all and on the observance of which you may regularly rely. In that case our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typically occurring. Beyond that, liability for simple negligence is excluded.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected by these provisions.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms if there is an objective reason for doing so — for example a change in the legal position, a changed scope of functions or a new service — and the change does not unreasonably disadvantage you. The version currently in force is shown with a date on this page.
We notify users of our Telegram service before a change takes effect. If you do not agree with the change, simply end the service with /stop.
Applicable law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. If as a consumer you have your habitual residence in another state, the mandatory protective provisions of that state remain unaffected (Art. 6 Abs. 2 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008). We do not agree a place of jurisdiction with consumers; the statutory jurisdictions apply.
Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor prepared to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer conciliation body.
