Adrià Pericas wins in Gerês and climbs to third in the Volta a Portugal

Spanish cyclist Adrià Pericas, of UAE Emirates, won the seventh stage of the Volta a Portugal today, which took place in the Termas do Gerês. He clinched victory in a sprint finish, surpassing Alexis Guérin and Artem Nych, both from Anicolor-Campicarn, crossing the line with the same time as his competitors, at 03:48.32 hours.

This victory allowed Pericas to rise to third place in the overall classification of the Volta a Portugal. Despite finishing second, Alexis Guérin retained the yellow jersey, symbolizing the lead in the race, thus staying on top of the overall standings.
