Aemet warns of clouds that could affect visibility of the eclipse

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a warning about the possibility of clouds interfering with the visibility of the total solar eclipse that will occur on Wednesday, August 12.

This astronomical phenomenon, which will take place around 8:30 PM, involves the Moon completely covering the Sun for a few minutes. Some regions in Spain are expected to enjoy the event without interruptions.

In its latest report, Aemet indicated that the skies will remain mostly clear or lightly clouded over large areas of the country, which could favor the observation of the eclipse. However, they noted that certain areas may experience a risk of cloud cover.

This total eclipse is a notable event, as a similar one has not occurred in the Iberian Peninsula since 1912, generating great interest among the Spanish population.
