Angolan President promises water and reduction of conflicts in Cunene
The President of Angola announced plans to provide abundant water in the south of the country to alleviate drought and conflicts over access.

The President of Angola committed to ensuring an abundant water supply in the southern part of the country, particularly in the Cunene region, which has been suffering from severe drought.
The promise was made in the context of an initiative to address the water scarcity affecting thousands of people and local agriculture, resulting in tensions among communities due to limited access to water resources.

The President stated that implementing measures to increase water availability will be a priority, aiming to improve the quality of life for the region's population.
In addition to addressing the water issue, the head of state also emphasized the importance of reducing conflicts arising from competition for this vital resource following the difficulties imposed by the drought.
