Following the disaster, the first-instance trial concluded on July 16, 2026, with 57 defendants. Among those sentenced are former executives of Autostrade per l'Italia (Aspi), receiving a 12-year sentence for former CEO Giovanni Castellucci and five years for Mauro Coletta, former director of oversight for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport's highway concessions.

Mayor Salis stated that the municipality will be seeking significant compensation for the damages suffered due to the collapse.
