Antwerp is studying the possibility of bringing midfielder Arthur Vermeeren back to the Bosuil. This could be a significant incoming transfer for the club. The Great Old, as Antwerp is known, is considering this step now that the transfer window remains open until September 3.

Vermeeren is currently on loan at another club, which could complicate a potential return. Nevertheless, Antwerp seems to be a serious option for the midfielder. This development has been reported by several media outlets, including Het Nieuwsblad and Gazet van Antwerpen, which have also covered the topic.

In parallel with interest in Vermeeren, activity is also occurring at other clubs. Anderlecht has indicated that they will not pursue a player exchange involving a Greek player and is now focusing on Norwegian player Thelo Aasgaard. This shows that there is still a lot of movement in the Belgian league, despite other top leagues having closed their transfer windows.

The transfer market currently offers opportunities for clubs to strengthen their squads with just a few days left until the deadline for Belgian clubs. Antwerp hopes to seize this chance by attracting players who can contribute to their performance this season.

It is still unclear whether Vermeeren's return can actually be realized, but the attention given to him indicates that Antwerp is actively looking for reinforcements.
