The Portuguese Fertility Association (APF) has requested immediate guarantees from the Ministry of Health and the CNPMA regarding the patients of the assisted reproduction clinic that closed in Cascais. The APF believes that these patients cannot be left without information about the status of their treatments.

The APF highlighted that many patients have embryos and gametes stored but are facing the suspension of treatments. This situation creates significant uncertainty for patients, who lack information about the continuity of their care.

The association calls for swift action from health authorities, reminding that a lack of response could have serious consequences for those involved. The APF emphasizes the need for immediate and effective support during the transition of care.

Patients of the clinic find themselves in a vulnerable position, as the treatments they were undergoing were interrupted without prior warning. The lack of communication has generated concern and discomfort among patients.

The APF's appeal aims to ensure that the health and reproductive rights of patients are respected and protected during this transition process.
