Appointment of a Revolutionary Guard General as Chief of Armed Forces in Iran
Ali Abdollahi has been appointed chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces by Ayatollah Khamenei, according to a statement from his office.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has appointed Ali Abdollahi, a general of the Revolutionary Guards, as chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces. This decision was announced by the Supreme Leader's office in a statement released on Monday.
Prior to this appointment, Ali Abdollahi was in charge of the Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, which oversees and coordinates joint military operations in Iran. This structure is recognized for its key role within the Iranian armed forces.
