Argentina secures victory in Davis Cup series against Turkey
Argentina triumphed in the Davis Cup series against Turkey, securing its place in the 2027 Qualifiers.

The Davis Cup series between Argentina and Turkey began on Saturday at the Ruca Che Stadium in Neuquén. Francisco Cerúndolo opened the match by defeating Yanki Erel in straight sets, giving Argentina the first point in the series.
Next, Thiago Tirante added a second point by beating Mert Alkaya, solidifying Argentina's lead to 2-0. The team, captained by Javier Frana, delivered a strong performance against an opponent without any players in the ATP Top 250 rankings.
Although the Argentines entered the series as favorites, the Turkish team attempted to compete. However, the outcomes of the first two matches were decisive in placing Argentina in a favorable position.

On Sunday, the doubles match was set to take place, where Guido Andreozzi and Andrés Molteni faced off against their Turkish counterparts. Despite the victories in the singles matches, the Argentine duo suffered a defeat in this encounter.
Subsequently, Francisco Cerúndolo returned to the court and, following the setback in doubles, secured victory for Argentina by once again defeating Mert Alkaya with a convincing score of 6-1 and 6-0, closing the series with a 3-1 scoreline. This victory confirmed Argentina's qualification for the 2027 Qualifiers.
With this victory, Argentina remains in the Davis Cup World Group, showcasing a remarkable performance from the team in its first appearance in Neuquén, which witnessed the beginning of this international clash.
