At least eleven dead reported in US strikes in Iran
According to Iranian reports, at least eleven people have died following US airstrikes in Iran. Iran has subsequently intensified retaliatory strikes on US targets in the region.

US airstrikes on targets in Iran have reportedly resulted in at least eleven fatalities, according to Iranian media. The deputy governor of Khuzestan province stated that seven people were killed and eight others injured in a nighttime missile attack. The state news agency IRNA reported on Wednesday the victims and circumstances surrounding the strikes.
Previously, the Iranian Red Crescent reported four civilian deaths that also resulted from the US strikes. The US military offensive targeted various objects associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
In response to the US attacks, Iran has intensified its retaliatory strikes on US targets in the region. The Iranian armed forces conducted coordinated drone and missile attacks focusing on US military bases in Erbil, Iraq, as reported by the Iranian news agency IRNA.

The military confrontation between the US and Iran has significantly escalated since the attacks and has raised international concerns. US President Trump threatened even harsher responses to the hostilities.
Earlier, US forces specifically targeted air defense positions, radar systems, and equipment belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. According to military sources, these military operations were a response to alleged Iranian attacks on commercial vessels as well as US installations in the region.
The military tensions between the two states continue. The US, however, claims to have temporarily halted its strikes.
