During the final day of the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, Italy secured a silver in the team rankings, while Great Britain took first place.
Pietro Riva won the silver medal in the men's marathon, with Germany's Petros claiming gold and Israel's Ayale taking bronze. In the women's race, the Italian athletes did not make it to the podium, yet they still earned silver in the team standings.
Additionally, the Italian team reached the finals of the 4x100 relays for both men and women, despite disappointment for the blue teams, with the women finishing fourth and the men losing the baton.
Throughout the evening, further events are anticipated, including the long jump final with Larissa Iapichino and the 3000-meter steeplechase races featuring Bouih and the Zoghlami twins. The event is broadcast live on Sky and streamed on NOW.
