Austria transfers asylum seekers to Italy under new EU asylum pact
Since the enforcement of the EU asylum pact, Austria has sent back four asylum seekers to Italy.

According to several media reports, including ORF and Kleine Zeitung, Austria has already made four transfers of asylum seekers since the new EU asylum pact came into effect. These returns involve "Dublin cases" that were previously registered in Italy.
The returns are conducted by bus and train, as reported by the Austrian Interior Ministry. The decision follows new regulations that are also being applied by other countries, such as Germany and Switzerland.

Italian media outlets such as LaPresse and ANSA are also involved in the returns, disseminating the information. Austrian authorities confirm the implementation of the new guidelines regarding asylum seekers.
The returns are part of a broader initiative within the European Union aimed at regulating the treatment of migrants and asylum seekers. In this context, Austria's approach is viewed as part of a general European strategy.
