Barcelona won 2-0 at home against Athletic Bilbao, adding three more points to their tally in La Liga. This match was marked by the debuts of new signings Rodri and João Cancelo. Raphinha and Fermín López were the scorers who secured the victory for the Catalan team.

Rodri, who was named the best player of the 2026 World Cup, made his entrance in the 63rd minute. His presence was highly anticipated by fans, who hope he can make a significant contribution to the team this season.

João Cancelo also made his debut, playing alongside Rodri, which increased expectations surrounding Barcelona's performance. The team under the manager continues to establish itself as one of the main contenders for the title this season.

The match was considered one-sided, with Barcelona dominating possession and scoring opportunities. Athletic Bilbao struggled to respond to the pressure from the home side, which proved effective in finishing.

In addition to securing the win, the result places Barcelona at the top of La Liga, highlighting their ambition in the competition. This was the second consecutive victory for the Catalans, who have started the season assertively.

With a strong performance in the first two matches, Barcelona seems to be finding the ideal chemistry among its new players. The next challenge will be to see how Rodri and Cancelo fully integrate into the team's dynamics in the coming matches.
