The Left Bloc (BE) has raised questions with the Government about the long waiting times for the first psychology consultation in the National Health Service (SNS). This concern arises in a context where access to mental health has been a topic of public debate.

According to the president of the psychologists' association, these waiting times can reach up to six months, raising serious questions about the capacity of the SNS to adequately meet the mental health needs of the population.

This situation prompted the BE to request clarifications from the executive on measures being implemented to reduce these waiting times, as well as on what might be done to improve access to these essential services.

This issue underscores the growing concern for the psychological well-being of the population and the need to ensure that everyone has timely and adequate access to mental health care in the country.
