Marco Silva, Benfica's coach, made three changes to the starting eleven compared to the previous game. The changes included Circati, Leandro Barreiro, and Schjelderup, an adjustment aimed at improving the team’s performance in this encounter.

On the other side, Vitória SC fielded starters like Oliwier Zych, Tony Strata, and Toni Borevkovic, among others, looking for a positive result away from home.
