The group stage schedule for the Europa League has been revealed, with Benfica and Torreense ready for their opening matches in the competition.

UEFA has released the official schedule for the 2026/27 Europa League group stage, highlighting the matches of the Portuguese clubs Benfica and Torreense. Benfica will face AC Milan at San Siro Stadium on September 16, thus beginning their participation in the competition.
Ruben Amorim, head coach of AC Milan, will be the opponent for Benfica in their debut, creating a notable connection between the two teams. This match marks not only the start of Benfica's campaign but also a reunion between the club and a coach associated with success in Italian football.
The day after Benfica's match, Torreense will play their inaugural game in Norway against Lillestrøm. This will be the first time Torreense competes in the Europa League, representing a significant milestone for the club.

Benfica, who will conclude the group stage at home with a match against AZ, aims for a strong performance following their participation in the Champions League. The team will seek to adapt quickly to the Europa League format to maximize their opportunities.
On the other hand, Torreense also hopes to make a good impression in their debut, facing the challenge of adapting to Norwegian football. The match against Lillestrøm could be a historic moment for their supporters.
Both teams are intensely preparing for the upcoming challenges and are already aware of the dates and times of their matches, which are part of a total of eight in the group stage. Anticipation is high to see how they will perform in the European competition.
