Bilger announces immediate measures against low water consequences in Bonn
Federal Minister of Transport Bilger has announced short-term measures to ensure supply chains in light of the low water levels.
At a summit in Bonn, Federal Minister of Transport Bilger presented emergency measures in response to the ongoing low water levels on the crucial rivers Rhine, Danube, and Elbe. The aim of these measures is to maintain supply chains despite the challenging conditions.
The planned immediate measures include exemptions from the truck driving ban and a shift of more goods to rail transport. These steps were discussed following talks with representatives from the business sector, various associations, and authorities.
