The city of Birmingham will host the European Athletics Championships, taking place from August 10 to 16. According to Le Monde, this event aims to distinguish itself in an increasingly crowded international calendar.

According to La Tribune, the competition opens with almost no French representation in the sprint events, an unprecedented situation. Thus, the goals of the European Athletics Association coexist with the challenges of a dense competition.
