Bishkek introduces new coal prices for residents and penalizes construction company
A new coal price is being implemented in Bishkek while a construction company faces penalties for regulatory violations.

In Kyrgyzstan, a new pricing mechanism for coal has been decided, set to take effect in Bishkek from the heating season of 2026-2027. The Anti-Monopoly Agency has reached an agreement with Kyrgyzkomur, allowing for a direct sale of coal to residents without intermediaries. The price for a ton of coal is set at 7,000 som.
Additionally, the construction company Ulan Stroy Kompani has been fined 200,000 som and had its license suspended for 90 days. This action was taken following the discovery of regulatory violations at a construction site in the Kok-Zhar district.
