Calls for Supreme Court Review of Aravalli Hearings and Wage Hike Suspension
Rights groups urge the Supreme Court to involve rural communities in Aravalli discussions, while another group seeks to review a wage hike suspension in Metro Manila.

Rights groups have requested an overhaul of the hearings conducted by a Supreme Court-appointed panel concerning the Aravalli region. They emphasize that discussions on the Aravallis should involve rural communities, farmers, pastoralists, and water resource experts to be meaningful.
In a separate matter, the group Akbayan has approached the Supreme Court to review a court order from Pasig that has suspended the new minimum wage hike in Metro Manila.
