Car manufacturers' profits decline in the first half of 2023
The operating profits of major car companies fell by 17.5 percent in the first half of 2023, putting pressure on the industry.

According to a report by Kurier, the operating profit of 15 major car manufacturers fell by 17.5 percent in the first half of the year. Contributing factors include U.S. tariffs and intense price competition in China.
ARD reports that the profit per vehicle has been reduced to approximately 1,200 euros. Consequently, the challenges for the major automotive companies are increasing, and current assessments indicate that an improvement is not in sight.
