Deaths from a carnivorous bacteria along the coasts of Louisiana and Florida have risen to seven, according to recent reports.

Authorities have issued warnings for the public to take precautions. Annually, there are between 150 and 200 infections nationwide from this bacteria, particularly in states near the Gulf of Mexico.
