The National Drill will take place on Saturday, September 19 at 12:00 PM. A hypothetical scenario of an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 centered in Puebla has been proposed, according to El Universal.

Infobae reported that this will be the first time the drill takes place on a weekend, which will involve the activation of various emergency operations, particularly in iconic locations such as Xochimilco and the Monument to the Revolution.

During the simulation exercise, the importance of properly configuring mobile devices to receive the alert was emphasized. It is crucial that phones are turned on and the wireless alerts option is activated, a feature that is often enabled by default on many devices.

The exercise results showed that 27,984 out of 28,287 speakers worked properly, representing 98.9% of the alert network, according to information disclosed by Clara Brugada. This reaffirms the effectiveness of the alert system in case of emergencies.
