Court reviews case of 13-year-old from "Auszeit-WG"

As part of the judicial review of the case of a 13-year-old housed in the Vienna "Auszeit-WG", a preliminary hearing has already taken place. According to the responsible Magistrate Department 11 (MA 11), the restriction of the youth's freedom has been provisionally deemed permissible.

The Home Care Act stipulates that such placements must be judicially reviewed, which has been requested in this case. The court now has a period of 14 days to make a final decision on the matter.

Discussions about the concept of the "Auszeit-WG" and its handling are ongoing, while the decision regarding the detention of the 13-year-old is still pending.
