Cristiano Ronaldo suspended as FPF opens disciplinary process
The Portuguese Football Federation has initiated a disciplinary process against Cristiano Ronaldo after the player left the national team camp.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been provisionally suspended by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), which opened a disciplinary process after the player abandoned the national team camp in Copenhagen. The incident occurred on September 30 and reportedly stemmed from a disagreement with coach Jorge Jesus, according to various media reports.
According to FPF regulations, the sanction for Ronaldo could range from one to six months of suspension, as explained by sports law experts. The FPF has not yet made an official statement regarding the case, although the process has been classified as urgent.
Ronaldo's decision to leave the camp has sparked criticism, and a friend of Jorge Jesus, Carlos Padrão, stated that the coach could face severe consequences if he does not apologize to the player. Despite Jesus's silence, Padrão expressed hopes for reconciliation between the two.

Following his departure, Ronaldo became the center of attention, and in his letter sent to the FPF, he mentioned an alleged 'scripted plan', but specific details of his complaints have not been widely disclosed.
The FPF confirmed that Ronaldo is under 'provisional suspension', a statement that followed an initial announcement that did not mention the player. However, after feedback on the situation, the federation decided to proceed with the detailed process.
The FPF Disciplinary Council will now evaluate the circumstances surrounding Ronaldo's departure and, after the assessment, determine the duration and severity of the sanction. Ronaldo has already confirmed that he will accept any punishment imposed on him.
