The Czech government has convened a national drought summit for today. According to reports from ARD, Prime Minister Babiš is reacting to the increasing pressure, particularly from farmers, who are demanding support amid the current drought crisis.

Meanwhile, the opposition parties SPÖ and Neos are making demands on Minister Totschnig, calling for effective solutions. These include a climate protection law as well as binding targets to limit land consumption.
