David Warner Convicted and Fined for Drink-Driving in Australia
Former Australian cricketer David Warner has been fined and required to fit an interlock device to his car after being convicted of drink-driving.

David Warner, a former Australian cricketer and captain of the Karachi Kings, has been convicted and fined by a Sydney court for drink-driving. According to reports, Warner was fined A$1,500 ($1,065) after pleading guilty to the charge stemming from an incident in April, when he was arrested following a random breath test during the Easter weekend.
During the incident, Warner failed the breath test while driving his family home in the eastern suburbs of Sydney after a social function. As part of the court's ruling, he is also required to fit an interlock device to his vehicle, which prevents it from operating until a breath sample is provided and verified.
Warner, who is 39 years old, is regarded as one of Australia's most accomplished cricketers and led the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League in 2025 and 2026. His conviction reflects ongoing consequences for violations of drink-driving laws.
