Deaths and Injuries from Russian Attacks in Ukraine
Several people have been killed and injured in Russian airstrikes in Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine.
In the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, at least two people were killed in Russian drone strikes targeting gas stations. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported this via the messaging platform Telegram, stating that after the initial direct strike on a gas station site in the million-strong city on Thursday night, further attacks occurred.
According to information from various sources, at least four people were killed in Ukraine during the night from Friday to Saturday due to Russian attacks. In Zaporizhzhia, a woman and a man died in a drone strike within a residential area. Local authorities reported that at least one other person was injured.
Furthermore, an attack occurred in the city of Kryvyj Rih, where, according to the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Olexander Hanscha, two people were killed in an assault on a facility. Four other individuals were injured and were admitted to hospitals.
In addition to the attacks in Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia, reports highlighted the ongoing situation in the region, characterized by continuous military confrontations. The exact number of injured in Kyiv is not yet determined, and further details have not been released.
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Moscow is ready for negotiations with Ukraine; however, the government rejects a ceasefire during the ongoing conflicts. This information comes from a press conference that Lavrov held on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in New Delhi.
Additionally, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on a potential meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. He expressed openness to talks during the upcoming G20 summit, set to take place in December in Miami, and emphasized the importance of dialogue.
