Disneyland Paris announces transformation of Space Mountain attraction for 2027

Disneyland Paris has announced that its iconic attraction Space Mountain will close at the end of 2027. This closure is planned as part of a transformation aimed at reinventing the attraction to pay homage to its original version, launched in 1995.

At the D23 convention, Disney teams confirmed that Space Mountain would leave its current Star Wars-themed backdrop for a return to the original concept. This revised version will feature a remastered soundtrack by Steve Bramson to accompany the Jules Verne-inspired ride.

In addition to this transformation, Disneyland Paris is also planning to launch a new parade in 2028. This initiative is part of a broader plan for improvements within the park.

A new area dedicated to The Lion King is also expected to be developed, incorporating other fascinating elements into the overall park experience.
