On the final day of the Russian Duma elections, Moscow was targeted by a massive Ukrainian drone attack, with approximately 1,100 drones launched toward the capital and Russian territory, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Among the targets of the raid was the Gazprom Neft refinery located in the Kapotnya district, one of the largest in Russia, where columns of smoke were visible throughout the city. There are two reported casualties in the region, while no deaths have been reported at the facility itself.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that this was the largest Ukrainian attack ever launched against the capital. Authorities reported having downed around 450 approaching drones.

Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the use of cruise and ballistic missiles during the attack, adding that Ukrainian forces deployed a significant number of drones against Russian forces. There are reports of a counterattack on Kyiv in response to the Russian offensive, which has struck targets in several Ukrainian cities.

Information regarding the extent of the damage and any impacted targets in Moscow continues to emerge. Several structures in the city have been damaged, and details are being gathered on the material damage and overall casualty count.

This attack occurs amid rising tensions between Ukrainian and Russian forces, with no immediate comments from Kyiv authorities regarding the developments of the attack.
