Earthquake in the Philippines measuring 5.8 felt in Manila
A 5.8 magnitude earthquake has struck the Philippines. The tremor was also felt in Manila and occurred at 04:38 Dutch time.

An earthquake measuring 5.8 has occurred in the Philippines. The tremor took place at 04:38 Dutch time, approximately 21 kilometers southwest of the city of Mamburao.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 kilometers. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, no damage is expected as a result of this tremor.

Nevertheless, aftershocks are possible, according to the institute. Witnesses reported to the Reuters news agency that the earthquake was felt in an office building in Manila, where employees experienced the shaking.
It is still unclear whether there were any casualties or further consequences from the tremor.
