Eclipse Glasses Become Hot Commodity at MAS in Antwerp
The museum shop in Antwerp sold out of eclipse glasses in record time ahead of the solar eclipse taking place next Wednesday.

The museum shop at MAS (Museum aan de Stroom) in Antwerp opened today with extended hours to sell eclipse glasses. The store has been flooded with visitors in recent days looking to purchase glasses at the last minute for the upcoming solar eclipse.
According to VRT NWS, all available eclipse glasses sold out by late afternoon on Monday. This left many people disappointed as they left the museum without the desired glasses.
The total solar eclipse occurring on Wednesday, August 12, is considered the largest since 1999. During this event, the moon will cover approximately 90 percent of the sun, explaining the strong public interest.
