The state corporation VEB.RF has terminated the employment of its chief economist Andrej Klepach. The dismissal is linked to comments made by Klepach that were published in the media, in which he described the impossibility of Russia achieving victory in the economic 'war of attrition.'
According to reports from The Bell, VEB announced Klepach's dismissal following public interest in his speech, in which he also pointed to Russia's technical and economic disadvantages, on Sunday, August 16.
