Eduardo Duhalde, Verbitsky and 30 Others Investigated for VIP Vaccination Scandal

Prosecutor Eduardo Taiano has requested the interrogation of Eduardo Duhalde, Chiche Duhalde, former Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana, and 31 others in connection with the case known as the VIP Vaccination Scandal. This operation involved the diversion of COVID-19 vaccines during the pandemic so that individuals outside of the strategic groups could receive doses.

According to sources, a total of 34 people are accused of receiving vaccines when it was not their turn, significantly contributing to the realization of these events. The individuals mentioned in the interrogation request were not part of the authorized group to receive the vaccine at that time. Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti will be responsible for ruling on the interrogation request made by the prosecutor. This comes five years after the maneuver that sparked significant controversy in the country.

The situation has attracted media attention, given that those involved are well-known figures in Argentina's public and political sphere. Justice is seeking to clarify the responsibilities of these individuals in the misuse of vaccines.
