A teacher in Kerala has been suspended due to a controversial question related to Vinayak Savarkar in a school quiz titled 'Freedom Quiz'. According to the education minister's office, the question was deemed misleading and historically unsupported.

The suspension was announced after a report was submitted by the Deputy Director of Education, Kasaragod. The Director of General Education instructed the Deputy Director to initiate departmental disciplinary proceedings and to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter.
