Eight Laborers Killed in Vehicle Collision in Madhya Pradesh
A collision involving a pick-up vehicle and a dumper truck near Chhimka village resulted in eight deaths and numerous injuries among laborers.

Eight laborers were killed and 32 others injured in a vehicle collision early Tuesday morning near Chhimka village, located on the Bhind-Gwalior National Highway in Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred when their pick-up vehicle swerved to avoid cattle and subsequently collided head-on with a dumper truck.
The laborers had just finished paddy transplantation work in Gwalior and were on their way back to their village in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri.
Rescue teams arrived promptly at the scene and transported the injured individuals to a local hospital for medical treatment. The condition of the injured has not been disclosed in the reports.
In response to the tragedy, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has announced compensation of ₹2 lakh each for the families of the deceased laborers.
