Eixo Atlântico has made a request to the President of the Republic of Portugal to intervene and engage in dialogue with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez in order to unblock negotiations related to the high-speed train between the two countries.

Xoan Mao, leader of Eixo Atlântico, emphasized that communication between the infrastructure ministers of Portugal and Spain is not taking place, stating that 'there is no relationship because they do not talk'.

The appeal reflects concerns over the lack of progress in discussions regarding the high-speed railway link, a project deemed vital for mobility between the two countries.

The pressure from Eixo Atlântico arises in a context where the relationship between the two governments is seen as crucial for advancing the high-speed train project.
