Elche is preparing for its debut in the new season of La Liga against Deportivo de La Coruña, which will take place next Monday at the Abanca-Riazor stadium. This match marks the beginning of a new opportunity for the team in the championship.

However, Elche has not managed to secure victory in its last twelve debuts in this category. The last time the team won on the opening day was 53 years ago, when they defeated Barcelona 1-0 at the Altabix stadium thanks to a goal by Chiva.
