Following the U.S. midterm elections, European stock markets have recorded a significant rise. In Milan, the main index, the Ftse Mib, closed with an increase of 2.18%, driven by strong buying in banking stocks like Unicredit and Intesa Sanpaolo, which rose by over 5%.

Wall Street reacted positively to the election results, with futures trading in the green and signs of growth in pre-market trading. Nasdaq futures, focused on technology stocks, also saw an increase of 0.2%.

The oil market experienced a collapse, with WTI falling by 8.26% to $88.15 and Brent down 8.59% to $94.70, reflecting a significant shift in commodity price trends.

Additionally, gold recorded an increase of 2.6%, while cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and others, showed weakness. Treasury yields rose, indicating a change in investor expectations.

The European market thus seems to have overcome initial concerns related to artificial intelligence, with the dollar showing a tendency to weaken. In the Asian context, the market exhibited mixed reactions, while companies linked to Elon Musk, such as Tesla and SpaceX, experienced declines in pre-market trading.

The overall sentiment post-election has led to a recovery in both European and U.S. stock markets, contributing to a general rebound of stock indices, with Piazza Affari opening higher in early trading.
