Exams: Averages Improve in Several Subjects, Mathematics Declines
The averages of national secondary school exams have shown improvements in 16 subjects, with History A experiencing the largest increase.

According to the National Exams Jury (JNE), the averages from the second phase of the national secondary school exams recorded significant variations across various subjects. In particular, History A stood out with a remarkable increase in its average, which rose from 94 to 109 points.
The rise in the average for History A corresponds to an increase of 15 points, the largest improvement among the main subjects of secondary education. In total, 16 of the 24 subjects assessed during this second phase saw their average scores increase compared to the previous year.
Among the subjects that improved their averages, several positive results stand out, with a total of 16 subjects registering increases in their averages. However, Mathematics recorded a negative result, with a drop in its average scores compared to last year.
This discrepancy in results necessitates an analysis of the causes behind the increases in average scores across various subjects, contrasting with the decline in Mathematics, which is often considered a fundamental subject in secondary education.
The data on the averages was released this Wednesday by the Ministry of Education, marking an update on student performance in the national exams.
